Hiking Trails on Our Bucket List- Salt Lake City Edition

Here are some of the hiking trails on our bucket list for Salt Lake City, Utah. All information about the trails were found on Alltrails.com. They have many options for hiking trails if you are looking for more!

  1. Living Room Lookout Trail- This is a 2.4 mile long trail that is estimated to take around 1 hour and 35 minutes.
  2. Lake Mary Trail- This trail is located in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It is a 2.6 mile moderate trail that is estimated to take around 1 hour and 37 minutes.
  3. Grandeur Peak East Trail- This can be considered a hard trail and is about 5.9 miles. It is estimated to take around 4 hours.
  4. Salt-Lake Overlook via Desolation Trail-This is approximately 5.2 miles and can take around 3 hours.
  5. Donut Falls Trail is also in Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest and has a waterfall. This is a 3.3 mile long hike with 538 feet of elevation gain
  6. Sunset Peak via Brighton Lakes Trail- This one is in avalanche territory, so it was recommended to check forecast before hiking this trail. Hiking boots have been recommended by some people. This trail is 5.8 miles and has 1,975 feet of elevation gain.
  7. Twin Lakes Trail- This is a moderate 2.3 mile long hike with 767 feet of elevation gain. There is a lake with this trail. Again, it is advised to look up the forecast because this is avalanche terrain.
